WHO WE ARE

More than an exporter.A vertically integrated
supply chain.

CBL Global Foods is Sri Lanka's foremost certified organic coconut exporter — operating a fully transparent, farm-to-shipment supply chain built on 35 years of direct farmer contracting and industry-leading certifications.

Unlike commodity traders, we own and control every stage: from the Demeter-certified biodynamic farms in Kurunegala to our BRC AA++ manufacturing facility in Minuwangoda, to the final pallet leaving our cold-chain warehouse.

This vertical integration is not a marketing claim — it is the operational foundation that allows us to deliver consistent, fully traceable, multi-certified coconut ingredients to food manufacturers, private label brands, and retailers in 40+ countries.

Three categories.
Each a world of its own.

Our product lines are organised around the way the world eats — because coconut ingredients are not the same discipline as plant-based dairy, and neither is the same as frozen supply. We don't pretend otherwise.

What We Produce

Our Best-Selling Product Range

Every product you taste during your Sri Lanka visit is available for private label, bulk supply, or co-packing. These are the SKUs that move in volume — certified to the standards your buyers demand.

How We Operate

Three pillars.
One standard.

CBL Global Foods operates on three integrated pillars that together form an unbreakable chain: from the soil where coconuts grow, through our certified manufacturing facility, to the communities whose livelihoods we are contractually committed to supporting. Each pillar is not a department — it is a managed system.

01

/assets/icons/home/three-piller-icon-1.svg

The Farm

Over 3,000 contracted farmers across 6 Sri Lankan provinces. No spot buying. No brokers. Every farm operates under a multi-year direct contract with CBL, with biodynamic and organic protocols enforced at field level by our own agronomists.

/assets/icons/home/three-piller-icon-2.svg

The Factory

Our BRC Grade AA++ manufacturing facility in Minuwangoda processes coconut across all product categories under a single, integrated quality system. No third-party processing. No co- packing. Everything in one controlled environment.

BRC AA++ — zero critical non-conformances

In-house laboratory: microbiological & chemical testing

Cold-chain compliant storage and dispatch

The Community

Fairtrade is not a label we use for marketing — it is a contractual obligation with FLOCERT-verified premium payments to farmer groups. Every shipment under our Fairtrade scope generates a documented community investment report.

Annual Fairtrade Premium disbursement reports

Community investment across 6 farmer groups

ESG briefing available for qualified buyers

Supply chain visits — complimentary for buyers

The CBL Standard

We don't sell

coconut products.

We sell 55+ years of knowing

exactly where it

comes from.

THE CBL STANDARD

Excellence,
Certified.

Our certification framework is not a collection of logos — it is a structured approach to serving every premium market in the world. Each certification was obtained to serve a specific buyer segment, and all are maintained simultaneously through a single integrated quality system.

Most exporters carry one or two certifications and focus on a single market. CBL Global Foods maintains 17 active certifications simultaneously — meaning a buyer in Germany requiring Naturland, a US retailer requiring USDA NOP, and a Japanese distributor requiring JAS can all be served from a single origin, a single factory, and a single documentation framework.

This is the CBL Standard: certifications that are not just held, but operationally integrated into farm management, processing protocols, and chain of custody documentation on every single shipment.

Supply Chain

Traceable.
Sustainable. Transparent.

Every coconut, fruit, and plant-based ingredient we process can be traced back to its origin. We don't just buy raw materials; we invest in the farming communities that grow them.

Our Differentiation

Four ways to
understand CBL.

Every supplier claims quality. These four dimensions explain why CBL Global Foods is structurally different — not as a matter of marketing, but as a matter of how the business is built, operated, and audited.

Vertical Integration

Farm to warehouse.
No intermediaries.

From contracted farms to export warehouse, every process is owned and managed by CBL. No co-packing, no toll processing, no spot purchasing. The same origin, the same team, the same controls — on every shipment, always.

Certification Depth

17 certifications.
One system.

17 active certifications maintained simultaneously — not sequentially. A Demeter buyer and a USDA NOP buyer and a Fairtrade buyer all get fully certified product from a single integrated system, not separate production lines.

Named farms.
Per shipment.

Every batch traces back to named farm clusters in specific Sri Lankan provinces. The chain of custody documentation — TC, COA, farm records, harvest logs — is available per shipment, not per request.

Operational Continuity

35 years.
Same families.

CBL has operated the same supply chain model since 1989 — through Sri Lanka's economic crises, global pandemics, and commodity cycles. Continuity is not a promise. It is a 35-year operational track record with the same farming families.
